Disaster Relief
The Annenberg Foundation bolsters emergency and disaster relief throughout Los Angeles and other areas, supporting agencies and organizations through response and recovery efforts after devastating wildfires and more.
Supporting First Responders and the Most Vulnerable

Countering COVID
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, the Annenberg Foundation worked to ensure that older adults were vaccinated as soon as vaccines became available, establishing centers at the former Annenberg Space for Photography, and pop-up clinics in Koreatown and South Los Angeles in partnership with the LAFD and others. The Foundation also donated hundreds of iPads to Los Angeles County hospitals to enable isolated patients to communicate with their loved ones.
Leadership in Philanthropy
Recognizing a widespread consequence of the pandemic – hunger and nutrition insecurity particularly among Black and Hispanic Angelenos – the Annenberg Foundation co-chaired the Los Angeles County Food Equity Roundtable — a coalition of government, philanthropic and nonprofit organizations dedicated to resolving chronic inequities in the LA County food system. This resulted in the first-ever LA County Office of Food Systems, using the Food Equity Roundtable’s comprehensive and integrated plan as a roadmap.
