KTLA’s Gayle Anderson broadcast live from the California Science Center twice this week to profile the Amazônia: Photography by Sebastião Salgado exhibit.
In her pieces, Anderson highlighted the stunning photos by photographer Sebastião Salgado that are on display through February 20.
Anderson spoke with California Science Center Senior Vice President for Exhibits, Diane Perlov and President and CEO of the California Science Center, Jeff Rudolph. They highlighted the interactive nature of the exhibit, including the immersive soundscape that transports visitors into the rainforest.
Salgado spent more than six years in the Amazon with indigenous tribes documenting the threat climate change poses to their future. The exhibit – which is the only North American show – comes as Brazil inaugurated a new president who vowed to protect the Amazon for future generations.
