Annenberg Foundation Offers a Conservation Challenge Grant for New Wildlife Crossing Fund

Thousands of Angelenos gathered at the Greek Theater in Hollywood on a sunny afternoon in early February to honor the life of beloved mountain lion P-22. After heartfelt and powerful remembrances, songs and tributes, the National Wildlife Federation announced the Wildlife Crossing Fund – a new initiative which will help build wildlife crossings all over the world.

To show its support, the Annenberg Foundation, as a founding partner, offered a conservation challenge grant to help launch the new Fund.

In addition to endearing himself to Angelenos, P-22 played a critical role in conservation efforts, including helping drive support for the Annenberg Wildlife Crossing

Construction on the world’s largest wildlife bridge continues in Agoura Hills to provide local wildlife with safe passage across the busy 101 freeway and help connect habitats.
