Annenberg Foundation Repatriates Chugach Nation’s Artifact

Annenberg Foundation Director Gregory Annenberg Weingarten and the Chugach Nation’s John Johnson took part in a repatriation ceremony.

The Foundation helped secure a sacred Chugach mask from an auction in Paris and returned it to its original owners. The ceremony in Los Angeles celebrated the cultural significance of the object and the Chugach Nation’s heritage.
