Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of USC Annenberg

Wallis Annenberg and Trustees Lauren Bon, Gregory Annenberg Weingarten, and Charles Annenberg Weingarten were on hand to celebrate the recent 50th Anniversary of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

“The truth is, we needed a world-class school for communication and journalism – long before we knew we did. And we need one now – more than ever before. That's why in all my decades of philanthropy, nothing has been more important than my support – my family's support - for the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.”
Wallis Annenberg
Chairman of the Board, President and CEO, Annenberg Foundation

The event featured the president of USC, Dr. Carol Folt, and the dean of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Willow Bay, who both thanked Wallis and her family for their support and advocacy of the school and its mission. Wallis also took the stage to thank the School’s leadership and staff for preserving the Annenberg family legacy and advancing communication and journalism in new and far-reaching ways. Wallis then capped her remarks with generous donations to the student scholarship programs chaired by Dean Willow Bay and former deans, Ernie Wilson and Geoffrey Cowan.
