Champions Live Here Spotlight: IHADLA, RightWay Foundation, UPI, Urban Scholar Academy, URBAN TXT, and Village for Vets

The Champions Live Here legacy program honors 56 local nonprofits with grant awards, professionally produced marketing materials, and public recognition of their work in the lead up to Super Bowl LVI. Following the Super Bowl, these organizations will join us for a special session of Annenberg Alchemy nonprofit training! For our final Champions spotlight, explore the work of The “I Have A Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles, The RightWay Foundation, Urban Peace Institute, Urban Scholar Academy, URBAN TXT: Teens Exploring Technology, and Village for Vets.

The “I Have A Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles provides long-term support to youth living in under-resourced communities to enable them to achieve their full potential.

The RightWay Foundation helps Transition-Age Foster Youth get and keep good jobs despite the overwhelming trauma they have endured throughout their lives.

Urban Peace Institute develops and implements policy and systems solutions to reduce violence, achieve safety, and improve community health.

Urban Scholar Academy works to transform the lives of urban youth (Kindergarten – 12th grade) through academic enrichment and community service opportunities.

URBAN TXT: Teens Exploring Technology serves young men of color from low income communities, teaching collaboration, ideation, and long-lasting life skills, as well as the process of taking an idea from concept to market.

Through programs providing meals, emergency grants, support for basic needs, social support, and links to additional services, Village for Vets helps ensure Los Angeles’ homeless and at-risk veterans don’t fall through the cracks.
