Champions Live Here Spotlight: +ME Project, Project Blue, Project KnuckleHead, Pukúu Cultural Community Services, and Reading to Kids

 

The Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee has recognized 56 “unsung hero” grassroots organizations and nonprofits who are making a transformative impact in underserved communities across the Los Angeles region. Next year, the Annenberg Foundation will welcome these Champions Live Here organizations for a special session of Annenberg Alchemy nonprofit training! In the meantime, explore this week’s amazing organizations in the spotlight: PLUS ME Project, Project Blue, Project KnuckleHead, Pukúu Cultural Community Services, and Reading to Kids.

 


PLUS ME Project activates the art of personal storytelling to increase confidence in youth as they pursue college, career, and life goals.

 


Project Blue helps officers who face serious illness or injuries outside the line of duty, working to bridge the gap where other charities fall short.

 



Project KnuckleHead works to inspire and empower youth and communities through the arts, education, and activism.

 


Pukúu Cultural Community Services invests in sustainable programs that bridge and improve opportunities for American Indians with culturally-based community services now and for future generations.

 


Reading to Kids is dedicated to inspiring underserved children with a love of reading, thereby enriching their lives and opportunities for success in the future.
