George Lopez and Jamie Lee Curtis to Co-host Annenberg Foundation’s 3rd Annual Alchemy Peer To Peer

Nonprofit Fast Pitch Competition For Prizes Worth $100,000.

WHAT:  PEER TO PEER AND LOS ANGELES SOCIAL VENTURE PARTNERS’ (LASVP) SOCIAL INNOVATION FAST PITCH COMPETITION:  PEER TO PEER is presented by the Annenberg Foundation as part of its nonprofit capacity building program, Alchemy. During the evening ten finalists will deliver three-minute presentations about their nonprofit organizations to a panel of judges and before a live audience of more than 1,000 for prizes worth $100,000.  The finalists are:

•    Cardborigami
•    Get On the Bus
•    GRID Alternatives
•    Gumball Foundation
•    Inner-City Arts
•    L.A. Diaper Drive
•    Mother’s Day Radio
•    Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden
•    Village Market Place, a program of Community Services Unlimited

WHO:    Presenters – Wallis Annenberg (Chairman of the Board, CEO and President of the Annenberg Foundation), Jamie Lee Curtis (Actor and Author), George Lopez (Actor and Comedian), Michelle Branch (Singer-Songwriter), Robert Gupta (Violinist, Los Angeles Philharmonic), Bobby Shriver (Former Mayor of Santa Monica; Co-founder and Chairman (Product)RED) and other celebrities to be announced along with Governor Jerry Brown and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Peer to Peer, with the support of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, is produced by Academy Award-winner and Emmy-nominee Bruce Cohen.
