Social Studies Documentary Screening at USC Annenberg

This week, the Annenberg Foundation convened a screening and discussion of the documentary series, Social Studies at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Annenberg Foundation chairman, president, and CEO Wallis Annenberg served as an executive producer on the series and Annenberg Learner is providing free, educator-curated content for teachers and parents to use with teens, exclusively on Learner.org.

The event featured Emmy-winning filmmaker and partner/grantee Lauren Greenfield and five of the teens who appeared in the series, in conversation with USC undergraduate students. Professor Gordon Stables, director of the journalism school, moderated. Nearly 200 attendees included digital media literacy students, the Social Studies team and their friends and family and representatives from Annenberg Learner and the Foundation.
