Wallis Annenberg Receives Unsung Hero Award from WCRF

Annenberg Foundation Chairman, President, and CEO Wallis Annenberg accepted the Unsung Hero award this week at the Women’s Cancer Research Fund “An Unforgettable Evening” gala. Cancer Research Fund Chairs Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and Jamie Tisch presented the award to Wallis for her visionary philanthropy through the Annenberg Foundation, spurring significant strides in the fight against cancer and enhancing community well-being.

In her remarks, Wallis announced a donation of $1 million donation to WCRF. 

“Information also has the power to heal, to transform, to revitalize. That's why all of us need to band together – to work together, through the Women's Cancer Research Fund – to keep the information coming. It gives me great pleasure to support the WCRF with a gift of one million dollars.”

Proceeds from the gala benefit the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) program.
